This package includes BUTTERY Natural Rec709, our Log to Rec709 conversion LUT, together with 17 creative LUTs designed for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, 6K G2, 6K Pro, Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K Full Frame, PYXIS 6K and URSA Broadcast G2. The LUTs are provided in versions specifically designed for Blackmagic Film Gen 4 and Gen 5 color science, for a total of 44 LUTs, and are compatible with both BRAW and ProRes footage.

Natural Rec709 provides a clean, neutral and accurate starting point for color grading, with natural skin tones and smooth highlight roll-off. The creative LUTs are designed to stylize your footage and include 17 different looks inspired by high-end commercial and cinematic color grades, including Eterna-inspired, black & white, Tobacco Filter, Crunchy Gold, Day X Night and more. While the creative LUTs can produce a stronger look, they are designed to retain detail in highlights, shadows and skin tones. Natural Rec709 can also be used as an in-camera monitoring LUT, while the creative LUTs are intended primarily for color grading.

HOW TO USE BUTTERY LUTs WITH BLACKMAGIC CAMERAS:‍ ‍

The workflow is extremely simple. Shoot in Blackmagic Film/LOG and apply the appropriate BUTTERY LUT directly to your footage in your editing or color grading software. Make your basic adjustments such as exposure, white balance, tint and contrast as needed. No complicated color management or additional conversion is required.

For a natural starting point, use the Natural Rec709 conversion LUT. If you want a stylized look, apply one of the included Creative LUTs instead. Each LUT is designed to work directly with the corresponding Blackmagic Film Gen 4 or Gen 5 footage.

BUTTERY LUTs are compatible with BRAW and ProRes footage and any software that supports .cube LUTs, including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.

Natural Rec709 can also be loaded into compatible Blackmagic cameras as a monitoring LUT, allowing you to preview a natural Rec709 image while recording in Blackmagic Film/LOG.

NOTE: Blackmagic cameras may add a +10 tint value when white balance is set to daylight. We recommend setting tint to ZERO as a starting point and adjusting it in post depending on the lighting conditions.
