NATURAL Rec709 + Creative LUTs - Sony Alpha (A7IV, A7S III, A7S II, A7III, A7R III, A7R II) | FS5/6/7 | RX | ZV-1 | FX9 | FX3/5/6/FX30/ZV-E1 - SLog2/3 (28 LUTs)

$43.95

This package includes our Natural REC709 LUT (and its 4 variations) and 17 creative LUTs to stylize your Sony Alpha (including the A7S III and A7IV), FS5, FX3, FX5, FX6, FX30, FS7, RX series ZV1 and ZV-E1 footage. Our creative LUTs are inspired by some of the top high end commercials and they include 17 different and unique looks (BUTTERY Eterna, B&W, Tobacco filter, Crunchy Gold, Day X Night and many more). The creative LUTs are not recommended for monitoring since they are made to stylize your footage, but we still used our incredibly accurate Natural Rec709 as a starting point, so even if they are a little bit pushy, they still retain a lot of information in the highlights, shadows and skin tones.

WHY NOT JUST USE SONY'S LUTs OR A GENERIC FREE LUT?

Sony's stock LUT — Skin tones often come out more reddish, and highlights tend to clip too aggressively in bright scenes. BUTTERY Natural Rec709 gives you balanced, natural skin tones and a much smoother highlight roll-off, so your image will look more balanced and natural.

Generic free LUTs — Most free conversion LUTs aren't built by a professional colorist for Sony's specific S-Log2/S-Log3 color science — they're often generic or adapted from another camera. Applied to the wrong profile, they can shift color, crush shadows, or clip highlights in ways that are hard to fix afterward. Natural Rec709 is built specifically for Sony's Log profile, so it holds up the way it's supposed to.

Natural Rec709 comes from years of real on-set color work by a working cinematographer and DIT — not a generic preset guessed at from footage online.

SIMPLE WORKFLOW. NO CST, NO STRESS.

Today's color workflows have gotten needlessly complicated — CSTs, multiple nodes, endless tweaking. BUTTERY Natural Rec709 skips all of that. Just two nodes: your basic adjustments on the first node, the LUT on the second node. That's it.

It works every time, in every lighting situation — day or night, any ISO. No guesswork, no wasted setup time. Just a perfect starting (or final) image in a couple of clicks.

Time is money. Spend it shooting and creating, not fighting your workflow.

HOW TO USE BUTTERY LUTs:

The workflow is extremely simple: first of all, you need to shoot LOG and LOG only. In your editing or color grading software just apply the LUT to your footage and do the basic adjustments such as exposure, contrast, WB or tint as you like. That simple.

Our LUTs work in every single lighting situation, at any ISO. Yep, just one LUT! Our LUTs are compatible with any software that support .cube files, such as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut X.

NOTE: Our Sony LUTs also work perfectly with the A7S III and the A7IV. If you shoot SLog3 that’s totally fine, but you might need to add a little bit of extra contrast. If you usually overexpose your footage, feel free to do so, but apply the LUT on a second node and adjust your exposure on a first node (in this way you will work on the log). Also, keep in mind that ND filters might cause some shifting in the tint. Again, this is only a starting point to start your grade and we recommend to do all the necessary adjustments before the LUT node such as tint, WB and contrast. For the A7IV, use the A7SIII LUTs.
